Johann Sebastian Bach
Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) is undoubtedly one of the most influential composers to have ever lived. He was born in Eisenach, Germany, and worked primarly as an organist throughout his life.
His compositions, especially his choral works, are some of the most revered pieces in the repertoire and embody a dazzling mastery of various compositional techniques, including contrapuntal writing.
