Edward Elgar
Sir Edward Elgar (1857-1934) is perhaps the most famous of all British composers.
His music seems to convey an almost unique sense of Englishness, exemplified in such works as his Pomp and Circumstance Marches and Nimrod from the Enigma Variations.
