Gabriel Fauré
Gabriel Fauré (1845-1924) was a French composer, pianist and organist.
He was one of the most important French musicians of his time, and his music and teaching at the Paris Conservatoire influenced many later French composers. He composed several beautifully crafted song cycles and a great many works for piano, and his music is written in a unique and charming idiom.
