Beethoven: 12 Variations on a theme from Judas Maccabaus

Written around 1796, this early work by Beethoven is based on the the chorus "See, the conqu’ring hero comes" from Handel's oratorio Judas Maccabaeus. The tune is familiar today as the popular hymn Thine Be the Glory.
