Bohuslav Martinu's Rhapsody-Concerto was written in 1952, commissioned by the principal violist of the Clevand Orchestra. It is naturally a challenging work for the soloist to play, but also contains some lyrical themes and rich textures. Here it is arranged for viola and piano.
